3 Yoga Poses for Leaner Abs
You probably already know that doing yoga is a great way to tone your muscles and get rid of excess fat. Your metabolism is stimulated during the workout resulting in faster fat burning. Knowing this, it’s not surprising that yoga poses meant to target the abdominal region will give your tummy a flatter, well-toned appearance, resulting in a smaller waistline and a healthier you!
Below are three essential yoga poses to help you lose tummy bulge and show off those lean, toned abdominals.

1. Locust Pose

Lie down on a yoga mat and spread your legs wide. Slowly lift your legs, head, chest and arms up simultaneously. Hold this position for 10-15 seconds, then slowly return back to normal position. Repeat 3-5 times.
2. Wheel Pose

Lie on your back and bend your knees so there is a 10″ – 12″ gap between your legs. Place your palms on the floor above the shoulders beside the head. Take a deep breath and raise your body. Slowly drop the head and try to make your arms and legs straight as much as possible. Don’t forget to keep on inhaling and exhaling. Once you can no longer hold your body in this position, exhale and lower your body back to the ground. Repeat 3-5 times.
3. Cobra Pose

Lie down on your belly with minimal gap between your legs. Place your palms beside your shoulders with your head resting on the ground. Take a deep breath and start raising your head up to your navel region. You should try to see the ceiling. Maintain the pose as long as you can. Remember to inhale and exhale. Just before bringing body down, exhale deeply. Repeat 3-5 times.
