Whether you are grinding it out over back-to-back classes or working 12 hour days, eventually your body starts to let you know it’s time to take a break and give it the recovery it needs. There are many ways to help your mind and body recover including meditation, reflection, and of course rest!
There is another great way to help your body recover and it relaxes the mind and body at the same time and that is restorative yoga. Restorative yoga focuses on aligning the physical and mental through stillness and gentle movements. Poses are more therapeutic and more relaxing with this style of yoga. Also, practicing stillness calms the mind and helps lower stress and anxiety.
