Your abs are a strong muscle group that deserve considerable attention. These muscles serve as the core for the rest of your body. Strong abs improve balance and promote overall well being. Plus they have the side benefit of looking great for those trips to the beach or down by the pool!
The following 5 exercises will strengthen and tone your abs and obliques, leaving you feeling and looking better in a matter of weeks. Perform each of the following exercises for 60 seconds with a 30 second rest in between. Repeat this routine 3 times for a total of 22 minutes.

Keeping your back straight, twist your upper torso to the right and then to the left. Breath out as you rotate your body while keeping your core tight.
The Dead Bug:
While laying on your back, raise your arm and legs to the ceiling. Lower your left leg and put your right arm behind your head. Switch sides and repeat until time is up. See the example from Kristy Lee Wilson below:

While on your back, raise your legs at a 45 degree angle and lift your shoulders off of the mat. Bring your left knee your right elbow and crunch. Alternate sides.

Lie on your back and bend your knees. Lift your shoulders and crunch forward and then to the left side and touch your heel. Crunch to the right side and touch your heel.

Lie on your side, stack your feet, and tuck your elbow under your shoulder. Keeping your body in a straight line lift your body up so you are balanced on your forearm and feet. Hold this position for 30 seconds and switch sides. Repeat on opposite side for 30 seconds.
There you have it.Perform these exercises at least 3 times a week for maximum benefit. Now go out and get toned!
