This also means that our body is working in some shape or form which translates into weight loss. One of the best ways to break a sweat with yoga is by doing Bikram yoga. Bikram, or hot yoga as it’s referred to, is yoga that is typically performed in high temperatures, thus causing you to sweat. The following Bikram poses are designed to help you effectively lose those extra pounds while you are sweating up a storm!

1. Awkward Pose:

This asana is also known as Utkatasana. Stand on the floor in Tadasana position. Raise your arms in a perpendicular line with the floor. Join your hands in prayer position. Take a deep breath. Inhale and exhale properly. Now bend your knees a little. Try to bring your knees in a parallel line with the floor. Do not give any kind of strain to your legs. Do not bend it beyond your capacity. Keep your spine and shoulders firm, and your back straight.
2. Standing Head To Knee Pose:

This pose is also known as Dandanamaya Janushirasana. Stand on the floor in Tadasana pose. Lift up your right leg in front of your body. It should be at a 90 degree angle with the floor. Do not bend your legs from your knees. Hold the sole of your right foot with your hands and bend your body forwards to touch your forehead to your knees. Repeat the same activity with your left leg as well.
3. Pavanamuktasana:

This yoga asana is also known as the wind releasing pose. Lie down on the floor on your back. Keep your legs straight. Lift up your left leg in a 90 degree angle in the upward direction. Stretch it, fold it from the knee and bring it close to your body in such a manner that the leg is pressed firmly onto your stomach. Lift up your head off the floor and try to touch your chin to your left knee. Try the same activity with the right leg too. One can even do the same activity with both legs at the same time.
