|The plank pose is one of the best poses you can do for your core muscles. So much of your core starts with you abdominal muscles. This group of muscles sets the tone for the rest of your body as they are responsible for preventing injuries and keeping your spine in balance.

Here are the steps to performing this pose:
- Start from a standing position
- Bend your knees and place your palms flat
- Step back into Plank Pose
- Lift the sides of the waist and your core will engage
- Extend the heels back and be sure to look 3-5 inches in front of you
- Hold for 60 seconds
